There are an estimated 16 million people with disabilities in Bangladesh, or 10% of the country's population. Perceptions of disability among most Bangladeshis remain largely negative and economically this society staying below the poverty level. Especially female, child & female child's are severely neglected.
But physically disabled persons can be converted from tax consumers to tax payers, from beneficiaries to benefactors, given the opportunity for self-development and provided with equal opportunities. Only Improving the economic conditions of these marginalised communities can change the perceptions. Economic inclusion by giving them opportunity to earn their own income make them self dependent. Then they can establish their own identity, achieve personal growth and enrich their social lives.
